UNC-CHI Galentine’s Day Event – Beauty Meets Storytelling

Project Overview

To celebrate Galentine’s Day, UNC-CHI tasked BallR Media with creating a brand-immersive experience that would engage women, boost foot traffic, and support the in-store launch of a new product. As Creative Director and Project Lead, I led the vision, design, and execution of a warm, thoughtful activation that reflected both self-care and community.

Strategy & Execution

  • Custom Decor & Experience Design: Developed fully branded décor with feminine, modern aesthetics aligned with product packaging and tone.

  • Multi-Sensory Activations:

    • Mini Brow Bar for instant beauty services

    • Mimosa Bar for a welcoming, luxe experience

    • DIY Bath Salt Station to encourage take-home wellness and memory-making

  • Brand Storytelling: Infused brand values and product benefits throughout the space via signage, styling, and guest takeaways

  • Creative Direction & Styling: Oversaw all visuals, space styling, and user experience design, ensuring every detail felt intentional and on-brand

Results

  • Created a high-touch environment that built emotional connection with the product and increased dwell time

  • Delivered a lifestyle-first activation that merged beauty, wellness, and community in a seamless brand experience

  • Collected positive user feedback and supported a successful sales weekend for the product
